CEL Celebrates Ten Successful Years in 2011
They say nothing succeeds like success, and the UW College of Education’s Center for Educational Leadership is celebrating 10 years of fine work with school districts regionally and across the country, working for equity and excellence in the classroom.
To mark CEL’s 10th anniversary, Executive Director Stephen Fink was joined on October 10, 2011, by CEL friends and partners to reflect on a decade of impact. The celebration featured a keynote address by UW Vice Provost Ed Taylor and remarks by Tom Stritikus, dean of the UW College of Education, Kevin Chase, Grandview School District superintendent, Susan Enfield, Seattle Public Schools interim superintendent, and Anneke Markholt, CEL associate director.
"You set your sights on closing the achievement gap ... Here I am, standing up, with you, looking back, saying we aren't done yet, but let's celebrate what we've done so far."
