CEL believes that the quality of classroom teaching is dependent upon having school leaders who possess instructional and leadership expertise. Now, a new research study released by Calder Center, a federally funded National Research and Development Center, looks at the topic of principal effectiveness.  The research is an analysis of 20 years of data on New York City public school principals in an attempt to identify which qualities could be linked to student achievement.  Click here to download this new research.
